Biodiversity at UCC’s pilot site

There’s a lot of biodiversity at UCC’s pilot site. Pictured are foxgloves and teasel. Both native plants that greatly support pollinators and wildlife. Towering up to 2 metres at the peak of summer.

UCC has had a low mow landscaping policy. The above shows what can be achieved in a few years.

A biodiversity trail is being developed for the pilot site. One of four actions of UCC’s localised implementation plan from @eco2schools. The pedagogical impact of participants will also be monitored by knowledge item surveys.
